Reflecting the growing demand from Australian drivers for hybrid vehicles, the QASHQAI will transition to an e-POWER-only lineup, delivering an EV-like driving experience without the need to plug in.
 
Building on the success of the current QASHQAI range and informed by increasing customer preference for hybrid and electrified technology, the shift to an exclusive e-POWER offering ensures new MY26 QASHQAI customers can experience the latest Nissan e-POWER technology.

Nissan's most advanced e-POWER system yet, features comprehensive re-engineering that delivers exceptional improvements across every key metric compared to the previous QASHQAI e-POWER generation.  The figures expressed below have been calculated based on the European model of the QASHQAI, and Australian-model specific figures will be announced prior to sale in Australia:

Nissan Casting Australia Plant (NCAP) in Dandenong South serves as the global sole supplier for these critical X-in-1 components, demonstrating Australia's integral role in Nissan's electrification strategy.
 
This local manufacturing capability not only supports Australian jobs and expertise but ensures that every new MY26 QASHQAI e-POWER globally is powered by Australian Made technology carrying the iconic kangaroo symbol. 

Availability and Timeline
 
The all e-POWER QASHQAI line-up will be introduced in the first half of 2026. More details on the full model line-up, pricing and other specifications will be confirmed closer to the launch date.
