Design Philosophy: Form Follows Function
The concept demonstrates Premcar's philosophy that genuine capability enhancement must be rooted in functional improvement, not superficial styling. Each modification serves a specific purpose in broadening the vehicle's performance envelope.
The signature lava red accents – appearing on recovery points, suspension components, bash plates, and design details – serve as visual markers of genuine functional upgrades while reinforcing the Warrior's distinctive identity in the marketplace.
The wider track, increased ride height, and enhanced protection package work together to improve the vehicle's capability across diverse Australian terrain, from highway towing to remote area exploration, while maintaining the ride quality and comfort that has made the Warrior program successful with both commercial and lifestyle buyers.
Looking Ahead
Andrew Humberstone, Managing Director, Nissan Oceania stated: "The Nissan Warrior program represents one of Nissan Australia's most successful initiatives of the past decade. It's genuine proof of what can be achieved when you combine global engineering excellence with deep local market knowledge and a partner who truly understands Australian customers.”
“I’m excited about the possibilities that the new Navara platform presents. It has been engineered to deliver exceptional capability and seeing how that foundation could be further enhanced through collaboration with Premcar is genuinely exciting.”
“We'll have more to share on the timing for the Warrior program next year."
About the Warrior Program
Launched in late 2019 with the Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior, the Warrior by Premcar program represents a collaboration between Nissan Australia and Melbourne-based engineering house Premcar to deliver vehicles specifically remanufactured for Australian conditions.
All Warrior vehicles undergo extensive local development and testing including on- and off-road validation in some of Australia's harshest environments including Big Desert, Mount Disappointment, Arkaroola and areas surrounding Lake Eyre.
The program currently includes three models: Navara SL Warrior, Navara PRO-4X Warrior, and Patrol Warrior – all remanufactured at Premcar's purpose-built facilities in Epping, Victoria.
Premcar has grown from 25 staff in 2012 to around 200 people in 2025, with 13,000 square metres of manufacturing space across two dedicated facilities. To date, the Warrior program has fitted over 63,775 wheels and tyres, 51,020 springs, 51,020 shock absorbers, and 12,755 bash plates.
All Warrior enhancements are covered by up to 10 years / 300,000km (whichever comes first) Warranty* when servicing with Nissan, Premcar will also match on any WARRIOR enhancement subject to same terms and eligibility criteria.
