Crumple Zones

• Up-front crumple zone helps absorb impacts.
• Energy-absorbing interior steering column compresses during frontal impacts.
• A rear, inbuilt crumple zone also helps absorb impact and reduce the risk of injury.

Side Impact Beams

• Pipe-style, steel side-door guard beams surround passenger compartment.
• Help protect occupants in side impacts.

Hood Buckling Creases

• Hood is built to buckle at predetermined points.
• In frontal impacts, the engine is designed to drop down and away from the passenger compartment.
• Even the driveshaft is designed to collapse, further helping reduce risk of injury.

Immobiliser

• In-built microchip matches with a sensor in the steering column.
• Without this match, nothing happens.

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)*(Track)

• Instantly senses when the car is losing its intended line of trajectory and defines what needs to happen to help remedy the problem.
• In the case of trouble, reduces engine torque to specific wheels and applies breaks as necessary.

*Available on Track models only. VDC is designed to help improve driving stability, but does not prevent accidents due to abrupt steering or by carelessness or dangerous driving techniques. Always drive safely.

TCS (Traction Control System)

• Traction control system limits tyre slip, for safer driving.
• When the system senses one wheel is spinning faster than the others, it automatically pumps that wheel's brake to reduce speed and lessen slip.

Braking System (Touring)*

• Massive 320mm front rotors cooled through a race car-styled air-cooling system.
• Reduces fade and assures smooth, predictable and efficient braking.

Brembo Braking System (Track)*

• Front Rotors measure 324mm (over a foot in diameter) coupled with liquid-smooth, four-piston callipers.
• Everything is kept cool by a unique Brembo air management system - the same type that racecar drivers count on.

• Front SRS airbags help protect you and your passenger in the event of an accident.

Driver & Passenger Side SRS Airbags

• All models equipped with side-impact supplemental airbags that move with the seat.
• Help assure maximum protection during a collision.

Driver & Passenger Side Curtain Airbags*(Coupe)

• Roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags drop down in the case of accident.
• Offer extra protection to the driver and passenger during certain types of collisions.
