In fact, when you buy a new Nissan vehicle, you now have the option to extend the existing warranty for an extra 3 years. This warranty provides your vehicle with cover for parts, repairs and other expenses provided by your original New Vehicle Warranty.
There are two options to choose from:
EXTRATIME
A time only extension - 12, 24 or 36 months - which provides coverage for the selected warranty period or otherwise expires when the vehicle has travelled 100,000 kilometres since new, whichever occurs first.
EXTRADRIVE NEW
A time - 12, 24 or 36 months - and distance extension which provides coverage for the selected warranty period or otherwise expires when the vehicle has travelled a total distance of 150,000 kilometres since new, whichever occurs first.

Your new Nissan vehicle comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
