Versatile storage

The Hardest Worker In Town
The Nissan Patrol Cab Chassis is powered by a 3.0 litre common-rail turbo diesel engine with intercooler. This common-rail engine is more responsive across the entire rev range which makes it great for everything from towing to overtaking on the open road.
3.0 litre diesel engine
Able to meet the needs of Australian workers, the Patrol Cab Chassis boasts 118kW of power and 380Nm of torque. So you can get moving on the open road, or use the powerful low gears for tough jobs.
DOHC
A double overhead cam is characterised by two camshafts located within the cylinder head, one operating the inlet valves and one operating the exhaust valves.
5-speed manual
With a 5-speed manual transmission with double cone synchromesh on the first, second and third gears – and a chain-driven transfer case - the Nissan Patrol Cab Chassis will eat up the open road.

On the Coil DX and ST models, the coil springs and shocks ensure a smooth ride (Tray optional extra).
Stay comfortable
So you can easily go off-road, the Patrol Cab Chassis Coil variants feature an all-terrain suspension, with three links up front and five at the back. There are also telescopic shock absorbers for a smoother ride. Plus for heavy loads, a specially-made leaf spring suspension system offers outstanding comfort and a 12.5 metre turning circle (Tray optional extra).
Switch modes at speed
The Patrol Cab Chassis lets you choose between 2WD for normal cruising and 4WD for more rugged terrain, bad weather or surfaces that have reduced grip. A dual range transfer gearbox also enables you to switch from high to low ratios for extra tricky ground. And for even greater traction, Nissan’s limited slip differential is standard on all models.
Built for strength
One of the key reasons behind the Patrol Cab Chassis's legendary driveability is its outstanding stability and control. This is mainly due to a sturdy separate ladder chassis - engineered for stability during high speed cruising and on rough terrain, and a front stabiliser bar that lends control even when you’re cornering. A rear stabiliser bar is standard on Coil variants (Bullbar and tray optional extras).

Keep something in reserve
All models offer the convenience of a 95 litre fuel tank and an 80 litre sub fuel tank allowing a longer time between fill-ups - so you can spend more time getting your work done, or exploring off-road.

The Patrol Cab Chassis’s 700mm wading depth offers impressive ground clearance and high entry and departure angles (Snorkel and tray optional extras).

On the land, planning for the bad times is every bit as important as taking advantage of the good. Which is why the Nissan Patrol Cab Chassis is equipped with dual front SRS airbags.
Dual front airbags
Reduces the risk of facial and upper body injuries to the driver and passenger in the event of a frontal collision. The airbags are designed to remain inflated long enough to help provide enhanced protection.
Four disc brakes
All round coil suspension Patrol Cab Chassis models include large diameter, ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels. Heat is dissipated rapidly to improve braking action, promote less brake fade and enhance brake life. Dual-piston front brake callipers and large brake boosters also deliver sharp stopping and control off-road and under load. The Patrol Cab Chassis Leaf DX models feature drum brakes on the back wheel to better handle heavier loads.
Halogen headlights
Powerful halogen headlamps feature high power and wide illumination, providing excellent visibility at night or in poor weather (Bullbar optional extra).
Grips the road
The Patrol Cab Chassis's sturdy chassis has been specially engineered for stability during high speed cruising and over rough terrain. All models have a rear limited slip differential – which ensures power is split equally between the two rear wheels, for maximum off-road traction. This is enhanced by double cone synchromesh on the first three gears (Bullbar and tray optional extra).
Built for safety
The Patrol Cab Chassis features front crumple zones – which absorb impact in the event of a frontal collision. Plus it has been designed with an all-steel body on a strong separate ladder chassis, a rigid passenger safety cell, reinforced B-pillars and body sills, and steel anti-intrusion bars in the doors for overall improved safety. Even the doors, trims and other components are designed to lessen collision impact.
The Patrol Cab Chassis DX features a 3.0 litre intercooled common-rail turbo diesel engine with 118kW of power, 380Nm of torque and a 5-speed manual transmission. Safety features include driver and passenger front SRS airbags, Limited Slip Differential, front disc brakes (DX leaf) and 4 wheel ventilated disc brakes (DX coil). Patrol Cab Chassis DX exterior is robust with a 3,200kg braked towing capacity and an 175 litre (main and sub) fuel tank. The chassis offers 700mm wading depth and excellent ground clearance. Suspension options include an advanced heavy duty coil spring suspension with 3 links in the front and 5 links in the rear as well as telescopic shock absorbers for a smoother ride. Leaf suspension is also available providing the comfort of coil springs at the front with the load carrying ability of leaf springs in the rear. The interior has a driver bucket seat and a passenger bench seat featuring air-conditioning, AM/FM CD tuner and vinyl floor covering to handle the tough Australian conditions.
The Patrol Cab Chassis ST coil includes all the features of the Patrol Cab Chassis DX Coil shown above with interior enhancements of moquette trim, carpet floor covering, central locking and centre console. Comfort is enhanced via a drivers footrest, power windows, cup holders, overhead console and map lights. On the exterior, the Patrol Cab Chassis ST Coil gains stylish side steps for added visual appeal and functionality.
