Bonnet Scoop

While the Navara D22 might be tough as nails, it certainly doesn’t look rough around the edges. It features a bonnet scoop that increases airflow to the turbo chargers intercooler and hints at the toughness under the hood (Platinum ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 shown).

Halogen headlights

The Nissan Navara D22 features 3-dimensional halogen headlights which provide brilliant, sharp illumination for night driving. Large tail lamps and hazard warning lights ensure great visibility for other road users when you’re out and about (Platinum ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 shown).

Overfender flares

Sturdy front overfender flares available on the ST-R not only reduce the weight of the Navara D22 but also protect it against those annoying little knocks and bumps that are so frequent in tight working areas (Platinum ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 shown).

Rear chrome step bumper

For easy access into the tub, the Navara D22 ST-R has a sturdy rear chrome step bumper as standard (Platinum ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 shown).

16" Alloy wheels

 16” alloy wheels provide a sporty and stylish finish on the D22 ST-R (Platinum ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 shown).

Black Satin Sports Bar

The Navara D22 ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 features a tough looking black satin sports bar, and alloy side steps as standard (Black Obsidian ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 shown).

2.5 litre diesel engine

Producing a tough 98kW of power and 304Nm of torque, it's no slouch. This engine offers all the benefits of diesel fuel economy with the kind of smooth, responsive performance traditionally associated with petrol engines. (Platinum D22 ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 model shown)

5-speed manual

There are double cone synchronisers on 2nd and 3rd gears - ideal for hauling big loads or cruising in comfort. A dual range transfer gearbox on the ST-R Special Edition 4x4 Dual Cab gives you the further option of switching from high to low final drive ratios when the terrain gets more demanding (Platinum D22 ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 model shown)

Limited Slip Differential

Nissan Navara D22 ST-R Special Edition features a rear limited slip differential. It delivers enhanced off-road traction and surefooted handling by ensuring that power is shared equally between the two rear wheels (Platinum D22 ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 model shown)

Anti-lock Braking System

Nissan Navara D22 Dual Cab ST-R Special Edition comes standard with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).  The front ventilated disc brakes allow heat to be dissipated more rapidly to improve braking action, promote less brake fade and enhance brake life. Drum Brakes with brake boosters on the rear enhance safe, confident braking. 

Dual front airbags

Dual front SRS airbags reduces the risk of facial and upper body injuries to the driver and passenger in the event of a frontal collision.  The airbags are designed to remain inflated long enough to help provide enhanced protection and are standard on the Nissan Navara D22 ST-R Special Edition.

Steering column

An energy absorbing steering column is designed and engineered to minimise the impact forces entering the cabin in the event of a collision (ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4 interior shown).

Side intrusion beams

The strategic placement of high strength reinforcement in the cabin structure is complemented by an energy absorbing side structure. Doors, trims and other components are designed to lessen the effect of primary impact and reduce force in a secondary impact (Black Obsidian ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4).

Stability

One of the key reasons for the Navara D22 ST-R Special Edition superb driveability is the feeling of stability and confidence you enjoy behind the wheel. This is largely due to a sturdy separate ladder chassis specially engineered for stability during high speed cruising and on rough terrain, as well as a stabiliser bar that enhances stability even when cornering. The ST-R Special Edition also has a rear limited slip differential which improves stability by ensuring that power is shared equally between the two rear wheels for enhanced off-road traction and surefooted handling (Platinum ST-R Special Edition Dual Cab 4x4).
