Nissan?s iconic GT-R sportscar will contest in two of the world?s premier racing championships in 2010 as part of the global motorsports plan unveiled today by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. (NISMO).

The racing programme, focused around the award winning GT-R, that in road trim claimed a fastest ever Nurburgring lap for a production car, aims to showcase Nissan?s commitment to designing and delivering cars that embody passion for performance and the joy of driving.

Nissan Australia took part in the recent Classic Adelaide Rally to celebrate 40 years of Z. It entered three 370Z coupes in the non competitive Classic Tour and Thoroughbred Categories.

Guest Marquee driver for Nissan was former V8 Supercar champion and Nissan factory team driver Glenn Seton.

The Classic Adelaide was the perfect event to celebrate 40 years of Z in Australia. Individual entries included an array of "Zeds" from the original 240Z right through to the latest 245kW V6 powered 370Z.

Glenn Seton said, "I find the 370Z an enjoyable car to drive. It has great handling on fast and slow corners and superb brakes. The 3.7L, V6 engine has a good spread of power from low rpm to the redline at 7500rpm making the it the perfect car to drive in the Thoroughbred Class at the Classic Adelaide event".
