The Nissan Tiida is powered by an MR18 engine. This all aluminium 1.8 litre, 16 valve, DOHC engine features Nissan's advanced Continuous Valve Timing Control (CVTC) and the Nissan Direct Injection System to deliver a remarkable 93kW @ 5,200 rpm with 174Nm @ 4,800 rpm.
It has fuel efficiency and acceleration aplenty that has been achieved via reduced weight and improved low to mid range engine torque responsiveness. The adoption of Continuous Valve Timing Control (CVTC) also results in better fuel efficiency without sacrificing power.
Extensive use of sound absorption materials, plus thicker side glass and double door seals helps minimise road noise, whilst the adoption of a pendulum engine mount system suppresses engine vibration and helps reduce noise entering the cabin. |
