Information on 2006 D40 Navara Dual Cab
October 2006 VEHICLE SAFETY RECALL – PS6A3 (D40 Navara)
Nissan Motor Company (Australia) Pty Ltd is recalling the Navara vehicles listed below for rectification of the following condition:
Description of Problem
A concern has been identified on the Relay Box Bracket for some D40 Navara vehicles with Non ABS specification. The Relay Box Bracket for D40 Navara with ABS specification has been assembled in Non ABS vehicles. This concern could cause interference between the Relay Box Bracket and a rear brake pipe in the engine compartment. It could result in a potential brake pipe wear and consequently a risk of poor brake performance.
Affected Vehicles
The VINs of the Affected Vehicles lie within the following ranges:
VSKCLND40A0037109 to VSKCLND40A0117598
VSKCVND40A0036984 to VSKCVND40A0122071
Recommended Action
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail at their last known address. Owners should contact any Nissan Dealer, to arrange for inspection and rectification of their vehicle. This will be carried out at no charge to the owner of the vehicle.
Nissan regrets the need to conduct this recall, which has been initiated in the interests of ongoing customer satisfaction and continued product reliability.
